His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Japan Visits MHI Vestas Factory in Regional Denmark

MHI Vestas showcases state-of-the-art nacelle factory in Lindø as Denmark and Japan celebrate 150 years of diplomatic relations.
In the latest of what will be a year-long celebration of diplomatic ties between Denmark and Japan, MHI Vestas hosted His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Japan at the company’s factory in Lindø today.
As a Japanese and Danish joint venture, the offshore wind turbine manufacturer holds a unique perspective on the countries’ diplomatic relationship which extends to the royal families.
The amicable relationship between the Japanese Imperial Family and the Danish Royal Family is an important tie between the two nations and plays a significant role in the relationship between Denmark and Japan.

During the factory visit, His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Japan was warmly received by Japanese and Danish executives of the company, toured the nacelle manufacturing area and also climbed inside a nacelle for an up-close look at the turbine’s technological components.

The royal visit comes as MHI Vestas continues to personify the power of international partnership with parent companies Vestas and Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).
