July 11, 2017
The Hamburg-based company CEE continues the expansion of its wind power portfolio and acquires another German wind farm in Lüdersdorf, Brandenburg. Seller is the Danish European Energy A / S.

The wind farm consists of two Vestas V112 units. The hub height is 140 meters, the rotor diameter is 112 meters and the total output of the wind park is 6.6 megawatts (MW). The plants commissioned in May provide environmentally friendly electricity for about 5,000 households each year. CEE Operations GmbH, which manages the CEE Group’s portfolio of power plants, is responsible for commercial operation. The seller of the park is the project developer European Energy A / S from Copenhagen, where CEE recently acquired a 27.6-megawatt wind farm in Brandenburg.

Detlef Schreiber, CEO of CEE Group: “The acquired plants ideally complement the existing CEE portfolio and underline our strategy in the core market of Germany. “Felicitas Hauk, Investment Director and CEE.-Project Manager, emphasizes:” We are very pleased with this connection transaction, which we are successfully implementing with European Energy following the Vormark project could. Another project is also about to be completed. ”

Knud Erik Andersen, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of European Energy A / S, emphasizes: “With the successful implementation of the connection project in Lüdersdorf, we once again proved our competence in the German market as one of our core markets. The project also demonstrates our competence in the field of repowering. We are looking forward to working with experienced partners, such as the CEE Group, and will continue to see new opportunities for cooperation in the future. ”

With the Windpark Lüdersdorf, CEE Group’s renewable energy portfolio is growing to around 592 MW. In 2017, CEE energy parks are expected to produce around 930,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity from renewable sources.
